"If honeybees died off, then human beings would only have four years to live”. The terrible prediction is thought to have been made by Albert Einstein. Although we cannot claim who the prediction truly belonged to, the issue is by no means less urgent. It seemed far from possible for a long time. However, the years of 2007 and 2008 saw a rapid decline in honeybee numbers in the United States of America and Europe, from 20% to 80%, with main reasons being incurable bees’ diseases and irresponsible human activities.

We believe that to stop these processes it’s necessary to join the efforts of not only academics and beekeepers, but also of wide public.

World Save the Bees Fund (WSBF) was registered on the 18th of June 2009 in Germany. WSBF is a social charitable organization.

WSBF’s mission is Save the Bees! Save the Planet!

WSBF’s aim is preventing bee deaths to ensure food security of the Planet.

WSBF ‘s budget is composed of:
- Entrance fee and current (annual) contributions of WSBF’s active members and WSBF’s partner companies;
- Donations from individuals and organizations – WSBF’s enabling persons;
- Funds raised by a fundraising system (a complex of works aimed at raising funds for the implementation of the charter of the Fund).
All gathered means are spent by WSBF on professional activities to preserve Bees and future of the Planet.

WSBF’s activities:
- Promotion of bees, beekeeping industry, consumption of bee products through organizing and conducting special events and projects involving experts and the general public;
- Participation of WSBF and its members in public events aimed at preserving the Bees and the Planet;
- Organizing and conducting an annual competition of the best projects;
- Financing of the best projects on tender basis;
