Voluntary Movement of WSBF e.V.
Who the Volunteer of WSBF is
The Volunteers of WSBF are active people who are extending help in the movement to preserve bees on a voluntary and gratuitous basis. Organization of WSBF’s events is just impossible without the work of volunteers as they are the main power and support of the Fund.
The main branches of WSBF’s voluntary activities are
1. Participate in educational projects. First of all, it's educational work in kindergartens and schools, the purpose of which is to tell about the importance of bees and the value of bee products. To work in this sphere we need people who can supervise schools or boarding schools, teachers and counselors to work in children's educational institutions, people who can carry out bright parties and games for children.
2. Planting of melliferous plants. Planting melliferous plants, especially in megalopolis, helps to increase forage for bees the number of which is reducing rapidly in the world now and one of the reasons is the decrease of melliferous plants. We believe that the widespread planting of melliferous plants will help to preserve bee population on the planet.
3. Promotion of Apitherapy as a healthy lifestyle, forming of careful attitude to the bees and the environment.
4. Cooperation with the mass media – distributing and publishing of information about WSBF e.V., its activities and current projects in various media (according to our recommendations), distributing of information about bees and their importance for nature and the life on earth.
5. Carrying out environmental inspections - identification of unauthorized pesticide treatments of fields near the apiary, illegal felling of trees, etc.
6. Organizing and carrying out of activities and events aimed at drawing public attention to the issue of bees’ conservation.
7. Collection of signatures to appeal to the authorities. Agitation for the enactment of necessary laws on beekeeping in the countries where WSBF works.
