In May 2008 at the International Conference for the Conservation of the Gene Pool of Apis Melifera Melifera Rail Khismatullin, the president and founder of the “Tentorium Apicompany”, made a proposal to declare September 14 as the International Bees’ Protection Day.

It was very pleasant, meaningful and important that the idea of September 14 received a huge response in the regions. The festivities - parades, children's parties, trips to the apiary and bee products presentation on the International Bees’ Protection Day, took place in Orel, Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Berezniki, Kazan, Arkhangelsk, Orenburg, Yaroslavl, Tyumen, Khabarovsk , Krasnodar and other cities. In Perm there was a press conference devoted to the protection of bees with the participation of well known beekeepers of Perm Territory, representatives of the processing industry and the Minister of Agriculture of Perm Territory E.E. Gilyazova.
